Paris: An English tourist is robbed of his watch at 190,000 euros on the Champ-de-Mars

By climbing in his taxi Place Jacques-Rueff (VII) in the middle of the Champ-de-Mars, this Sunday morning, this English tourist has no idea what he just suffered a few minutes earlier. However, the watch he wore on the wrist has indeed disappeared. He only realizes this once inside the vehicle. Too late. His Richard Mille, worth 190,000 euros, was vanished.

With the police officers of the VII police station, the man rewinds the time he has just passed. Between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., he walks on the Champ-de-Mars. Two women “of Eastern Europe type” then offered to sign a petition. Distrustful, English refuses to sign anything and resumes its way.

A few minutes later, new meeting, with this time four men who offer him to buy a photograph. As before, the tourist refuses again and climbs into this famous considerably lightened taxi … He no longer has his watch. Having undergone any violence, the English tourist struggles to understand how his jewel, in rectangular format rounded so recognizable, was able to be stolen from him.

To try to find his property and the one who stole it from him, the man filed a complaint. After which an investigation was opened and entrusted to the territorial security of Paris (ST75). Contacted, the Paris prosecutor’s office said he was “informed of these facts” but that “at this stage, individuals have not been arrested”.
