Passenger seriously injured in an accident in Corsier-sur-Vevey

Vaud police have again intercepted luxury vehicle thieves this week. During the night of Monday to Tuesday, two authors were arrested in Romanel-sur-Morges, two others were on Friday on the A1 near Cossonay.

Following the theft of a vehicle in Romanel-sur-Morges, two thugs were arrested on Tuesday around 2 am, after the rapid implementation of an interception device, the cantonal police communicated on Saturday.

Friday, after an A1 motorway chase, a vehicle stolen from Zurich was intercepted at the exit of Cossonay, after colliding with a truck. No injuries are to be deplored and the two authors were arrested.

Vaud police recall that they are currently faced with a series of luxury vehicle flights. These are stolen from dealerships from all over Switzerland by individuals who then try to go to France by taking the roads of the canton of Vaud. The police invite owners and dealers to the greatest caution to secure these vehicles as well as their contact keys.

In general, the authors of these flights are of French nationality and sometimes these are minors. Determined, they do not hesitate to circulate at very high speeds, endangering other users and police who are forced to use important means to stop them.
