Paul Arcand’s press review | Negotiations at Air Canada: “130,000 people a day are affected”

On the occasion of his press review on Thursday, Paul Arcand reacts to the labor conflict between the carrier Air Canada and his 10,000 on -board agents.

While negotiations are in a standstill, thefts will be disrupted on Thursday everywhere in the country in the summer.

The union representing them intends to trigger the strike on Saturday, while the airline replied by transmitting a lockout opinion, which would start on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

The two parties do not agree on the most important points, that is to say the salary increases and also on the fact that the on-board agents want to be remunerated for all the hours worked, which is not the case today.

Paul Arcand shows the short period of 72 hours between the announcement of the strike and the start of the movement which leaves little maneuvering for travelers to find an alternative solution.

For the moment, the federal government is looking at the situation and refuses to intervene, but I remind you that it is still 130,000 people per day that are affected by this labor conflict.
