Like last year, Google should announce the Pixel 10 Pro during the month of August. While waiting for formalization, scraps of rumors have paint the portrait of smartphones. Improved screen, power gain, prolonged autonomy and even more artificial intelligence, here are the 4 developments expected compared to the Pixel 9 Pro.
Several improvements for the Pixel 10 PRO screen
The display would first of all be entitled to concrete improvements on several points.
While the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL would keep their 6.3 inch and 6.8 inch diagonals respectively, the maximum brightness would be entitled to a 200 cd/m2 boost to reach a total of 2,250 cd/m2.
In addition to that, the fit of the brightness would gain in efficiency by going from a PWM refresh rate from 240 Hz to 480 Hz on the new high -end smartphones of Google.
In short, the screens of the Pixel 10 Pro would behave better in conditions of strong light, in full sun for example, while being more restful when the light is low. Two improvements that would make the viewing experience much more pleasant in everyday life.
A real power gain with the Tensor G5 chip
Where Google disappoints in the face of other brands is on the side of power. Tensor fleas are much less efficient than Qualcomm, Apple or Mediatek processors.
Good news: the Tensor G5 of Pixel 10 Pro would greatly improve things. According to a recent information leak, this generation would provide a multicœur performance gain of approximately 43 % compared to Pixel 9.
A non -negotiable leap forward, whose functions of artificial intelligence or even resource applications (whose video games) should take advantage of. What finally get up to the competition.
More autonomy and a rethought wireless load system
On the side of autonomy, things should also evolve. Although the Pixel 10 Pro would keep the same battery capacities as the current models (4,700 mAh and 5,060 mAh), they would last longer thanks to the G5 Tensor. This would be allowed by the delicacy of engraving of this chip, going to 3 nanometers instead of 4 nanometers.
Result: improved energy efficiency, reducing consumption without sacrificing performance. This would therefore lengthen the duration of daily use without increasing the battery capacity.
On the wired load side, nothing new. However, wireless recharge could well move up a gear thanks to the management of the Qi 2.2 standard and the introduction of a dedicated control chip, delivering a maximum wireless load power of 60 W.
As a bonus, this evolution could add an alternative signed Google to Apple Magsafe technology. Indeed, magnetic accessories have recently been the subject of rumors. However, it is not known if the company will opt for magnets integrated into the smartphone or via a dedicated shell (as Samsung does for the Galaxy S25 for example).
Artificial intelligence at the heart of Pixel 10 Pro
With these internal developments brought to the Pixel 10 Pro, but also in the face of a design and photo sensors identical to the Pixel 9 Pro, it is more than likely that Google plays the card of new software for its new generation of smartphones.
Bad news in history, little information has been shared on this subject for the moment. A rumor still evokes the arrival of a new assistant named Pixel Sense, who would offer more complete and personalized interactions with users – like the SIRI under IA that Apple still cannot go out on his iPhone.
Note, this could correspond to the mention “Ask your mobile more” That we saw during the recent filming of Google for promotional videos dedicated to its Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro.
For the rest of the exclusive AI to these new models, it will be necessary to wait for new rumors or the announcement conference expected for the month of August 2025.
