Porsche 911 Carrera T, the less it’s better

In recent times, we have been able to think that the 911 was getting lost with the unpublished hybrid version (541 hp) which reserves performance really very close to a turbo without the technology making it possible to avoid going under the caudine forks of a punitive taxation (penalty of 70,000 euros). Even if it means paying the maximum tax, should we not favor sensations? This is the argument deployed by the new Carrera T. It deploys the cocktail usually reserved for a GT3 Touring-Lightering cure, Sports chassis and manual box at 6 speed-but associated here with 3-liter Flat-Six of the basic crossroads, that is to say 394 hp at 7,500 rpm. A more sufficient power since, at the same time, the mass has been reduced by almost 42 kg (1,478 kg), which is not nothing at this level, using reduced windows and reduced sound insulation. Result: we benefit all the more vocalizations of this engine recognizable among a thousand that the sport exhaust accompanies the standard equipment.

Admittedly, the Carrera T makes a few tenths at the Carrera in acceleration but it offers incomparable sensations in return, a reflection of the short traveling box with wooden lever of the famous Carrera GT supercar. As soon as the layout becomes winding, the driver can count on the presence of rear steering wheels which strengthen agility, 10 mm lowered sport chassis and reinforced braking by six -piston calipers at the front. The T really knows how to talk to the initial followers: the background of the tachometer is blue, the tissue of the upholstery is on a Scottish motif and the painting program resuscitates colors from the 1960s.
