After “GENSHIN IMPACT”, it is the turn of the Battle Royale “PUBG” to soon draw its version for the old models of consoles of Sony and Microsoft.
The “PUBG: Battlegrounds” game is one of the titles that will soon be accessible on the 8th generation consoles.

Released in 2013, these 8th generation consoles arrive at the end of the cycle, as evidenced by the gradual abandonment of their management by heavyweights of the video game. Latest example, the developers of “PUBG: Battlegrounds” announced on the official website that the title of Battle Royale will only be available on PS5, Xbox Series (as well as on PC), from November 13. From this date, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will no longer be able to be downloaded or launched.
“This change is a necessary step to align PUBG on console with current generation platforms. (…) To offer our players a more stable gameplay environment on consoles and guarantee a more fluid homogeneous experience with future updates, we decided to make the transition to current generation consoles, ”explains the development team. This one recognizes that it is enormously painful to announce this news to the faithful players of these machines.
The publisher specifies that the account data and the objects purchased will be kept safe. Players will be able to recover them once their passage made on a new generation console and continue their progress via their current account.

This announcement comes only a few days after a similar decision touching another major title on PS4. Mihoyo recently indicated that “Genshin Impact” will no longer be playable on the old Sony console from April 8, 2026. Before this date, the withdrawal of the PlayStation Store game is scheduled for September 10, 2025, and integrated purchases, for their part, will end on February 26, 2026.
