Quebec City withdrew to a pro-Trump American singer the license for a concert scheduled for Friday

The city of Quebec has withdrawn from a fiercely pro-Trump American singer the permit of a concert at the expocity scheduled for Friday, a decision which is part of a wave of cancellations in the maritime provinces.

“The presence of a controversial artist was not mentioned in the contract concluded between Expocité and the promoter of the concert planned on his site this Friday. With the new elements that have been brought to his attention, Expocité decided to terminate the contract and therefore the event on its site, “said in an email François Moisan, spokesperson for Quebec City, manager of the Expocity.

Sean Feucht, described by media as an “Christian nationalist” increasingly influential among Les Républicains, saw his license being revoked by Parcs Canada for the first concert of the tour, which was to be held at the national historic place of La Redoute-York, in Halifax.

The Domino effect is immediate: in the only day on Wednesday, the permits were removed from him in Charlottetown, in Moncton, then in Quebec.

Sean Feucht has a stop in Gatineau scheduled for Saturday for a performance at Jacques-Cartier Park, managed by the National Capital Commission (CCN), a federal agency.

The federal government has ignored our requests for comments. The CCN acknowledged receipt of our email without following our question.
