Recharge of electric vehicles: Belgium exceeds the course of 100,000 terminals and ranks in the European top 5

Belgium exceeds 100,000 public charging stations for electric vehicles, mainly in Flanders, and ranks among the five European countries best equipped with charging stations for electrical vehicles.

Belgium now has more than 100,000 public charging stations for electric vehicles, the Belgium Federation of Electric Mobility said on Monday.

The CAP of 100,000 terminals was exceeded at the end of July, but this number does not take into account private facilities, specifies EV Belgium. Most public charging points are found in Flanders. More than 90,000 of them are chargers at normal speed, and the rest are fast chargers.

The installation of charging stations has particularly accelerated in recent years due to the growing popularity of electric vehicles on our territory. Belgium is in the top 5 European countries as a number of chargers per electric vehicle.
