“Remember well before acting”: a Montrealers launched a warning to young people after being burned alive in a criminal fire

A 23-year-old Montrealer, a victim of serious burns during a criminal fire that he himself turned on, shares his history to raise young people about the dangers of organized crime in Montreal.

In 2021, Ali set fire to a building, an act which cost him his fingers and one leg.

“I apologize to the people to whom I lied during these two years. No, I didn’t have a car accident. No, I did not sleep in an apartment that caught fire. I had left to commit a criminal fire that went wrong and I was taken in it, “he explains in a YouTube video published Wednesday already viewed by 44,000 people.

By trying to earn “easy money”, this 19 -year -old young man was plunged twice in a coma for a total of eight weeks.

Four years after the facts, by sharing his story on social networks, he wishes to warn young people against risky choices motivated by money.

“I started looking for a way to make money easily, and finally, this easy money cost me much more than it brought me,” said Ali.

According to him, his life changed in an instant.

“It is to show you how in a second, in a spark, your life can change,” he explains.

The young man ends his video by stressing that such acts are not worth the consequences.

“Think about it before you act, because it can really cost you dearly.”
