Both the prices of individual houses and those of property apartments have appreciated between April and June in Switzerland. Costs have particularly increased in rural communities.
(Keystone-ATS) In the second quarter of 2025, the amounts required for the purchase of a detached house increased on an average of 1.5% in a quarter and 3.9% over a year, details the Federal Statistics Office (FSA) in a press release on Wednesday. With an increase of 2.2% in a quarter and 6.0% over one year, the increase for property apartments per floor is even stronger.
In the case of individual houses, prices have particularly increased in rural municipalities (+3.4%). The costs of these real estate objects only fell into the intermediate municipalities (-0.9%).
In the segment of the ownership market market per floor, prices have an increase regardless of the type of municipality. The strongest increase has also been recorded in the category of rural communities (+3.0%).
Overall, the Swiss Prix for Residential Real Estate Prices (Impi) appreciated 1.9% in a quarter and 5.0% over one year, to be 123.3 points.
