Rieux-Volvestre. BARING RACING AND POLE Bending French Cup final

This exceptional final will take place on August 22, 23 and 24 in Salles-sur-Garonne at Ranch Capel under the patronage of NBHA France. During these three days, the best riders and horsemen of France in the disciplines of “Barrel Racing” and “Pole Bending” with exceptional horses will compete to win the French Cup. Behind these barbaric Anglo-Saxon words hides a real competition where speed, mastery and complicity between a horse and his rider are the keys to success. Each time, it is a timed speed race on a precise route: make a slalom with angles at 90 ° and 100 ° around cans arranged in clover for the barl Racing (which can be translated by the cans) and race in a straight line and slalom around plots arranged in zigzag for the Bending pole.

Participants who have been selected throughout France are one or two events. These take place in three rounds, one per day with one event in the morning and the other at the end of the afternoon so as not to exhaust or stress the frames. After 3 days, the rider/horse couple who have produced the best score will be declared winner. He will win the title and the premium and will then be able to participate in the European Championships.

A village of exhibitor to visit during the breaks

During these three days in the Western atmosphere, horse lovers will also be able to find a whole village of exhibitors with specialists dedicated to the care of equines (osteo, masseuses …), manufacturers and repairers of horse riding equipment and a large number of accessories related to the world of horse.

As a reminder, for several years now, the Ranch Capel has specialized in education and work with the horse in a symbiotic approach where the goal is to create a complicity and a relationship of mutual trust between the rider and the horse. This includes the practice of hiking on rugged terrain (Mountain Trail), speed races, Iberian work or the conduct of herds. Depending on the needs and desires of the rider, these practices make it possible to accustom a horse to cross a stream for example, or to pass on a log bridge or to walk next to its rider on a rocky soil. Éric Capel, who is a trainer in these disciplines and international judge, regularly supports small groups of riders either to correct the fears of the horse, or those of the rider.
