Ronald Bisson appointed member of the Order of Canada

Ronald Bisson, Director of Operations at the Association of Colleges and Universities of the Canadian Francophonie (ACUFC), was appointed member of the Order of Canada by General Governor Mary Simon.

Originally from the Broquerie, Ronald Bisson has been working in ACUFC since 2013. He began working there as director of the National Legal Training Network (RNFJ). He stood out as a fervent defender of the rights of French -speaking minorities and as a fervent supporter of social justice.

“I remain inspired by the commitment of all these people who believed in the Francophonie, who believed in our rights, and who instilled in us a deep love for Canada as well as the firm conviction that we had the duty to improve our homeland,” said Ronald Bisson in a press release, thanking those who supported his candidacy and those who inspired him throughout his career.

The list of candidates of Canada includes three other Manitobans: the author Miriam Toews; Dr. Albert David Friesen, often considered the founding father of biotechnology in Manitoba; And Kathy Mulder, a physiotherapist who devoted her career to the treatment and search for hereditary coagulation disorders.
