City of GenevaSwiss cross and heat wave for schools
Promotions will take place Wednesday and Friday for primary school students in town. Theme this year: Switzerland. A minibergerie will be installed at the bastions.

Some 12,000 children will invade the city center this week, as part of the school holidays. Wednesday will be reserved for the little ones, from 1P to 4P, with the traditional procession of promotions in the afternoon, while students from the last levels of primary will meet on Friday.
Vachettes, train and water jets
The Bastions Parc will constitute the hearts of celebrations, with Swiss accents. Children have indeed chosen Switzerland as the theme of the year. A minibergerie, cowhoes and a small train will occupy the premises. There will also be on Friday the Swiss struggle and a climb wall. The afternoon will be open to the general public with then, at 10 p.m., a sound and light show on the wall of reformers to illustrate Swiss tales and legends.
Given the scorching temperatures announced, the authorities enjoin the parents to take their precautions so that their offspring does not suffer too much from heat. For its part, the school service bought 3000 caps intended for the little ones which would be without protection on Wednesday. Water distributions are also planned, while mini -projects of water and twigs will refresh the Bastions park.
