A serious road accident occurred this Thursday around 4 p.m. on Route 138 in Donnacona, involving two vehicles.
According to information provided by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), three people were transported to the hospital center, one of which is in critical condition.
The accident occurred at the height of the Berges Park. According to the investigators’ first observations, a vehicle that left the entrance to the park would not have given way to a car circulating on route 138, causing a violent collision.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were quickly dispatched to the scene. Route 138 was closed to traffic and the patrollers of the MTQ were also on site.
The road has since been closed in both directions to allow the intervention of emergency services and the analysis of the scene by specialists in accident reconstruction.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
