A small train accident occurred this Thursday, July 31 shortly before noon on the Sanguinaires road, in Ajaccio. The little train arrived from the city wounded at the Santa Lina roundabout. It was during the maneuver that the last wagon overturned.
About fifteen people, including children, are injured, some seriously. Four are in absolute emergency without a vital prognosis committed subject to the diagnosis of doctor SAMU: among them, a four -year -old child. All were evacuated to the Ajaccio hospital center. About ten other people are in relative emergency. Their evactory was underway shortly before 1 p.m. In the meantime, they have been taken care of in the Ariadne car park, the beach establishment near which the accident took place.
On site, the bosses of beach establishments offer mild injuries to take care of them by offering drinks, snacks, or rest on the sofas. “We heard a huge noise, we went up immediately. We assured the wounded as we could, with priority to children”tells a 60 -year -old woman who was on Santa Lina beach at the time of the accident.
Traffic is strongly disrupted.
