She invents collective rape and accuses Moroccans

Assisted by a lawyer, the young woman told the police on Saturday that she was never raped, reports Europa Press. She changed version while the investigation into the collective rape of which she had said to be a victim, is underway. The alleged perpetrator of sexual assault, a man of Moroccan origin, was arrested. The accused is the subject of an expulsion order which has not been executed. Three other young men, his accomplices, are actively sought after.

In her initial complaint, the young woman claims to have been raped Wednesday morning on the Plaza de España, while she was going to her home, in rue Galiano. She specifies that she had met four young men of Moroccan origin on the way. According to her story, one of them first approached her to hire the conversation and gain confidence. Then, the other three would have surrounded it and dragged to the entrance to the parking lot, threatened with a knife and beaten until it lost knowledge before raping it.

The case aroused the indignation of the inhabitants of the district which denounce the growing insecurity in the city. “We cannot imagine that such a thing happens in broad daylight,” said a resident. “Ferrol was a quiet city; Today we are afraid for our daughters, ”says a mother who lives not far from the place of assault. This incident also relaunches the debate on the effectiveness of the legal mechanisms for the execution of evictions. In the present case, the detainee continued to reside in Galicia, despite a firm expulsion decision.

“The efficiency of the system depends on the police and judicial resources available to identify and have prohibited people in Spain,” explain experts consulted by Periodista Digital. According to sources, the suspect had been identified a few weeks before for minor flights, but had never been arrested. For their part, human rights associations ask not to criminalize the entire migrant community for individual acts. They call for greater police and judicial efficiency to protect potential victims.
