Professor Siré Sy, party leader The new Senegalese left-Goor-Goorlu Yicame out of his reserve to comment on the recent declaration of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. In a video published on his Facebook page, the political analyst did not mince words, accusing the head of government of wanting to establish a form of dictatorship in Senegal.
According to him, the remarks made recently by Ousmane Sonko denote a desire to centralize power and to marginalize the counterpowers, a posture which he deems incompatible with the democratic principles. The professor believes that such a trajectory is dangerous for the balance of institutions and for the stability of the country.
Taking advantage of this media outing, Siré Sy spoke of the hypothesis of a resignation from Ousmane Sonko from the Prime Minister’s Office. In this case, he offers a name to succeed him: Arona Coumba Ndofene Dioufwhich he describes as a competent man, endowed with great experience, capable of meeting economic challenges and leading Senegal towards emergence.
