Six: Increase in combined trading volume

The volume of stock trading in six Swiss Exchange increased by 15.1% compared to the previous year to reach 527.990 billion francs.

Since the start of the year, the combined trading volume of six Swiss Exchange and BME Exchange has reached 978,505 million francs, (1,040,410 million euros) at the end of July 2025, an increase of 17.3% (20.1%) compared to the same period in 2024. The number of transactions on the two scholarships exceeded the 52 million mark.

The volume of stock trading on six Swiss Exchange increased by 15.1% compared to the previous year to reach 527.990 billion francs (YTD). The ETF segment has remained solid with a volume of trading of 77.639 billion francs since the beginning of 2025, contributing to an increase of 85.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. The total volume of total trading of six Swiss Exchange for the month reached 89.549 billion francs, a considerable increase of 9.0% compared to July 2024.

On BME Exchange, the volume of trading in fixed income securities increased by 25.7% in July 2025, with 15.145 billion euros. Like the Swiss market, the volume of stock trading increased in July to reach a total of 226.246 billion euros, a significant growth of 14% (YTD). Overall, the Spanish Stock Exchange recorded a trading volume of 51.749 billion euros for the month, contributing to an increase of 13.7% compared to June.

On July 9, 2025, CIRSA entered the Spanish stock market. The company made its debut with a valuation of 2.52 billion euros. It was the fifth IPO on the markets of six in 2025, after those of HBX and Izertis in Spain and Bioversys and Amrize in Switzerland.

The volume of fixed income securities ratings also increased on six Swiss Exchange and BME Exchange, companies having issued new obligations to raise capital, while economic uncertainty isomed. The volume of new quotes increased respectively by 39.5% and 29.5% compared to July 2024. The Swiss market recorded 6.959 billion francs listed during the month and 74.250 billion francs since the start of the year, an increase of 7.5% (YTD). On the Spanish Stock Exchange, 271.424 billion euros had been listed in 2025 at the end of the month, including 30.506 billion euros for the month of July alone, which represents a significant increase of 19.8% (YTD).

With six Swiss Exchange, the threshold of 100,000 quotes from structured products has been exceeded for the third time in its history. After 102,504 in 2023 and 110,792 in 2024, a total of 101,135 quotes was recorded at the end of July, which corresponds to an increase of 55.6% (YTD).

The performance of the indices in Spain was one of the significant facts of July, the IBEX 35® ending the month at 14,379 points, an increase of 2.9% compared to June and 24.2% since the start of the year. The Swiss Blue Chips SMI® index finished July at 11,836 points, or growth of 2.0% since the start of the year.
