Pleasures. After the Quebec National Day, residents of the region will once again have the opportunity to come together during the Canadian Festival, which will be celebrated this Tuesday, July 1.
In Magog, the festivities will take place in the city center, more precisely at the Parc des Braves. It will all start at 6 p.m. with the musical performance of Smooth Jazz Blues Band. Then, from 8:30 p.m., it will be the turn of the members of the Road Riders Band to put their eyesight and the ears.
The corporation of Magog events invites the population to picnic on the spot. A bar will be available until 11 p.m. Note that unlike past years, there will be no exhibition of old and sporting cars on the main street west.
On the Hatley side, the organizers put the package by concocting a colorful program for this 115th edition. From 10 a.m., several activities will lead the site of the village community center located at 100, rue Main. In addition to sales kiosks and a silent auction, there will be a soap box race (11:30 a.m.), children’s activities with inflatable games and a mini farm (from noon) as well as the long -awaited major parade on the 2 p.m.
At the end of the day, from 5.30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., participants will be entitled to a demonstration of the “Quebec legends of the logging”. The celebrations will end in style with fireworks, which will illuminate the sky from 9:30 p.m.
