A 15 -year -old British teenager was mistaken in an easyJet flight to Milan, when he had to return to London with his family, report our colleagues from the daily newspaper The Guardian. The young boy, who was on vacation with his loved ones in Spain, managed to embark without a ticket for Italy from Minorca airport.
According to a Spanish police official, video surveillance images confirmed that he was mounted in the device for Milan. An alert concerning the disappearance of a minor had been launched by the airport, but it was lifted as soon as its presence on board the flight was confirmed.
An investigation is underway
His mother immediately took a flight to join him in Italy. For their part, the members of the flight crew quickly noticed the presence of the young passenger without a transport title and took the necessary measures to supervise it.
The airline does not yet explain as such an error may have occurred. Easyjet said that an internal investigation was underway to understand how such an error could occur.
