Swollen legs: Trump suffers from venous insufficiency

Donald Trump suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, the White House announced on Thursday, after the 79-year-old American president reported “light swelling in the bottom of his legs”.

“In -depth” examinations have revealed this problem, which corresponds to an accumulation of blood in the lower limbs.

The White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt described this affection as “benign and current, particularly in individuals over 70”, before specifying that no indication of “deep venous thrombosis or arterial disease” had been discovered.

All the results of the exams “were under the standards”, and “the president remains in excellent health,” she added.

The spokesperson wanted to respond to growing speculations on the social networks of a health problem of the Republican president, after the publication of photos showing bruises on his hands.

According to Karoline Leavitt, these bruises are the consequence of “frequent hand tightening” and its aspirin intake, “as part of a standard cardiovascular preventive diet”.

In January, Donald Trump became the oldest president to enter into the history of the United States, replacing Joe Biden, who had left power at 81.

The republican billionaire frequently boasts of his energy level and his services have even recently published an image showing him in Superman.

Donald Trump regularly accuses the entourage of Joe Biden, who beat him in 2020, of having sought to hide the decline of the octogenarian democratic president.

Joe Biden had retired late from the 2024 presidential race, against a background of concerns about his state of health after a calamitous debate against Donald Trump.
