Tadej Pogacar won in Mûr-de-Bretagne during the 7th stage of the Tour de France. With this second victory of the week, he resumed the yellow jersey to Mathieu Van der Poel.
Already winner in Rouen on Tuesday, ‘Pogi’ was the strongest in the last hectometers of the second ascent in Mûr-de-Bretagne, ahead of his rival Jonas Vingegaard and the British Oscar Onley. The Slovenian ogre won by the same his 19th victory in the Great Loop, and the 101st of his professional career.
In the general classification, the triple winner of the event is ahead of the Belgian Remco Evenepoel of 54 seconds and the French Kévin Vauquelin de 1’11 ”. Vingegaard is 4th at 1’17 ”. As for Mathieu van der Poel, he was released in the second ascent of the Mûr-de-Bretagne after having already been well struggling on the first.
