On this Monday, July 21, a national day, a complete and enticing program is looming. All day long, activities are set up in Brussels. This day begins with a Te Deum at the Saints-Michel-et-Gudule cathedral, in the presence of the king, the queen as well as the high dignitaries.
To continue this celebration day, a big party will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. between the Palais de Justice and the Palais de la Nation, but also in the Royal Park, with a lot of entertainment for young and old. To discover behind the scenes of Belgian politics, the Federal Parliament will be open between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Parade and fireworks
The most anticipated moment of the day for some, the famous military and civil parade will be held on the Place des Palais from 4 p.m., when different generations of defense vehicles will parade. During the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, some copies of the Second World War will be present. A griffin, shielded 25 tonnes fresh, out of the Mol CY in Staden factory will also be there.
Then, the evening will start with great fanfare at 9 p.m. with the “Belgian Party”, where many Belgian artists will make a concert on two different scenes like Héléna, Axelle Red, K3 or Lost Frequencies.
And finally, at 10:30 p.m., the multimedia show will take place. Lasers, drones and DJ set will end this day of celebration, with obviously, the traditional fireworks to finish in style. The latter will start at 11 p.m.
