The craze for triple smartphones continues to grow gradually, Tecno seeks to tackle the sector leaders with its new foldable prototype, called Phantom Ultimate G Fold Concept. This concept, of which we previously have in a leakagele Phantom Ultimate G Fold Concept has a double inward folding system, which allows you to store the whole screen inside the device when closed. The result is a flexible screen of 9.94 inches that folds twice, reaching a folded thickness of 11.49 mm – which is significantly higher compared to the new screen 8.9 mm thick Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (currently $ 1,999 on Amazon), but a little less than the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate (12.8 mm). But then again, the Z Fold 7 is not a triple folded device.
The folding mechanism uses two hinges: a small hinge of the water drop for the initial folding and a larger primary hinge which envelops the rest of the screen on top. This structure can be closed completely without leaving a visible space. An automatic locking mechanism keeps the device tightly closed.
When open, the large screen offers an almost folded surface and a format similar to that of a tablet. Tecno says that this allows new use cases such as multiple angles station and mini-workposts. A secondary outdoor screen is also present, which allows the device to operate as a standard smartphone without having to unfold it.
The phone uses ultra-resistant steel from 2000MPA in the hinge and a rear lid in a 0.3 mm Titan Fiber (perhaps referring to a fiber based on titanium) to reduce the weight while retaining rigidity. Fully open, the device is only 3.49 mm thick.
The conceptual model also has a high -end chipset, a triple camera and a battery of more than 5,000 mAh, although the exact specifications have not been disclosed. The company is expected to present the aircraft to the MWC 2026 again.
TECNO has already presented a triple folding prototype during the MWC 2025 – the Phantom Ultimate 2 Tri -Fold. You can find out more about it here.
