Three dead, one injured in absolute emergency. The results are very heavy after the frontal collision between two vehicles which took place this Thursday morning on the A8 motorway, under the railway bridge of the Cannes-Grasse line.
Shortly after 7 a.m., a white car circulating on the North road towards the Var A – for a reason that the investigation will have to determine – crossed the central median before coming to hit a red car circulating towards Italy.
On board: two young women.
Two nurses aged thirty years
The two occupants of the vehicle who was struck have died. According to our information, They are in their thirties and are nurses in an establishment in the Alpes-Maritimes.
The third victim is the driver of the vehicle which crossed the central media. He is a man under the age of 30. His 18 -year -old passenger is seriously injured. He was transported in absolute emergency to Pasteur II hospital in Nice.
The highway cut to traffic
Significant rescue means were mobilized at the scene of the drama. A helicopter notably had to land in the middle of the A8.
The highway was cut in both directions of traffic.
