The 360 ​​° antigravity A1 drone could revolutionize immersive flight: a real slap!

Rumors have been going well for several weeks in terms of the imminent arrival of a new drone capable of filming in 360 °. If many were eyeing Dji’s side, which continues to update its range of drones, the announcement arrived from an actor that it was not expected. The Chinese Startup Antigravity, incubated among others by Insta360, specialist in the action camera and the 360 ​​° image, is thus the first to put on the market a 360 ° 8 K drone model.

At the heart of the Antigravity A1, a double -objective camera system that captures everything around 360 °. Mounted on the top and the underside of the drone fuselage, the objectives ensure a complete capture of the environment without blindness.

As with all 360 ° imaging systems, the images are assembled using a house advanced technology that makes the drone invisible through the glasses and final images. Yes glasses, because the antigravity A1 drone is piloting like an FPV drone with glasses and a handle of control.

360 ° immersion

The piloting of the antigravity A1 drone offers an unequaled level of immersion much more powerful than a classic FPV drone. The vision glasses and the control handle combined with the exclusive freemotion technology of antiGRAVITY and the reactive monitoring of the head, the immersion is total and allows the pilot to look freely in all directions while piloting the drone in any direction using intuitive gestures of the hand.

A small size

With only 249 g, the Antigravity A1 meets the regulatory requirements of most countries that dispens a license. Its compact size allows it to pack it, transport it and launch it in a few seconds. The drone has been designed and developed to be easily usable. The 360 ​​° immersive flight will require a little fingering and training, especially for apprentice pilots who have never “stolen” in FPV. The pilots will manage the flight using the control handle, which reacts to natural hand movements and which eliminates the need for traditional controllers. Associated with vision glasses, pilots will be able to freely explore their environment in real time with total 360 ° visibility. In line with the legistulation and to ensure that the antigravity A1 is used only for exploration and shooting, the drone is equipped with a detection of useful loads, in order to prevent poor uses or unauthorized modifications.

A creative drone

The antigravity A1 drone takes up the main operating principles of 360 ° cameras and its double -objective configuration reflects the capabilities of cameras series like the recent X5 of Insta360. Each angle is recorded and allows multiple angle montages in postproduction from a single plan, also offering new original mounting possibilities such as dynamic camera movements, Tiny Planet effects and horizon reversals. Creating FPV type film sequences is now more accessible than ever.

First impressions

We had the opportunity to manage a pre -in -house model in June during a presentation to a few Happy Fews and we were not disappointed with the trip, even if the model was not yet final. The Antigravity 1 drone is piloting as an FPV drone with a major difference that allows the pilot to be on board with the same sensations he can have if he was in his aircraft. 360 ° effect obliges, the vision telescope is sensitive to the movements of the pilot’s head, which allows you to look and visualize the environment on 360 ° during the flight as we would do if we were really on board. Which is much more disturbing than the classic FPV and which can lead us out in the actual trajectory of the drone. A small cursor on the control handle fortunately allows to immediately refurbish the vision in the direction of the flight. In the end, incredible sensations, even more breathtaking than what we have felt in FPV to make the head lose more than one driver, even athletic. So we can’t wait to fight with a standard model.
