The Dutch brand of Fairphone smartphones has launched its sixth device, which focuses, among other things, on a long -term software support.
The Fairphone brand has been committing for a long time in favor of sustainability. Its devices are for example equipped with modular components, thus facilitating their repair. The sixth model of the series, soberly called ‘Fairphone’, continues on this momentum.
It is a fairly compact device with a 6.31 inch screen in Gorilla Glass. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 processor. This device, marketed for some 599 euros, is therefore rather in the mid -range in terms of specifications. Fairphone rather favors a longer lifespan.
This is how the new Fairphone benefits from the European label has its durability and offers up to five years warranty. The software support would even be provided until 2033. Like the previous devices of the brand, the new Fairphone is equipped with twelve modular components. You can replace them yourself using a simple screwdriver. The Fairphone company is also proud of its low carbon footprint, mainly thanks to the use of recycled materials from a fair sector.
