For the sixth time in a row, the Montreal Canadian will start his season against his great rivals.

The National Hockey League (NHL) unveiled the full calendar on Wednesday for the next campaign and has not missed another opportunity to oppose two teams that hate themselves from the outset.
The Habs will go to Toronto on Wednesday, October 8, to face the Maple Leafs there as part of the first match of his 2025-2026 season. The meeting will take place the day after the initial evening, which will stage a triple program.
Last season, the Canadian won his first match against the Maple Leafs by the brand of 1 to 0. The goalkeeper Samuel Montembeault had delivered a sensational performance with a laundering of 48 stops while striker Cole Caufield, helped by Juraj Slafkovsky and Kirby Dach, had scored the only goal of the meeting.
The day after the match against the Leafs, the CH will already be back in action as part of a meeting against the Red Wings in Detroit. He will finish his first week of activities on Saturday evening against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Supporters of the Tricolore will have a first opportunity to see at work the new acquisitions Noah Dobson and Zachary Bolduc on the ice of the Bell Center on October 14 against the Kraken of Seattle.
Due to the Winter Olympic Games, CH will face a most condensed calendar with 17 games in January and 15 games in March. He will also have to play two games in two evenings 16 times during the year.
The season will end as it started, that is to say on the road, on April 14 with a duel against the flyers of Philadelphia.
TVA Sports will present a total of 22 Canadian games during the 2025-2026 season, including the very first match against the Leafs. The last meeting will take place on April 11 with the visit of the Blue Jackets in Columbus.
