In response to these “homicide attempts against the backdrop of drug trafficking”, the Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau is taking action on Monday, July 28. He decided to deploy, in reinforcement of national police staff, at CRS 8. On Tourcoing, but also on Roubaix.
The CRS 8 is a unit described as “quickly mobilized, specifically organized and equipped and trained in maintaining public order”. Bruno Retailleau intends to “ensure a massive presence of police on the ground and organize numerous operations to hinder the action of offenders and traffickers”.
