After the Ninja Creami, an undisputed star of social networks for lovers of homemade ice cream, the brand returns with a more targeted device: the Ninja slushidesigned exclusively for frozen drinks. Less versatile than her big sister, she nevertheless intends to become the ally of fans of granita, cafes, cocktails and other frozen drinks for the summer. But in addition to the hype, does the machine hold its promises and is enough to make us forget its price as well as its rather gadget side? We tested it for several weeks, here is our verdict in This Ninja Slushi test.

Design and ergonomics
From an aesthetic point of view, the Ninja Slushi takes up the codes of the Ninja range: a modern, sober and solid design. The device is high but compact in width, which makes it much easier to integrate on a worktop than other small appliances. We particularly appreciate his extremely simple handling. Just pour the drink or liquid into the bowl, select the cold dose or the predefined program, then let the machine do the work. The tank has a very large capacity (2.5 liters) which makes it the perfect ally of the big evenings. No complex manipulation or no locking is required, it is intuitive from start to finish.
And good surprise is that the machine is relatively silentespecially compared to other brand products. A real plus if you plan to use it during an aperitif or in an open kitchen. We notice a slight heating during use but everything remains targeted in terms of ventilation on the sides of the device, it is therefore enough not to stick it to a wall and voila.
Granites but not that
Please note, the Ninja Slushi does not make ice creamunlike Creami. It is a machine exclusively dedicated to frozen drinks, type granita, milkshakes or cocktails. She Do not support the pieces, It is therefore necessary to prepare in advance any solid addition (fruits, zest, thick syrups …), which limits creativity a little at the moment. Fortunately, all the recipes provided with Slushi are simple and easily achievable, even when needed upstream preparation. The machine is designed to operate continuously, She can run several hours without overheatingwhich makes him a good ally for the big summer tables.
On the other hand, It does not work with drinks without sugars. In other words, no “diet” slushis: sweeteners or lightened preparations do not offer the right result once frozen, contrary to what Creami offers, which also has a program for Slushi. An important detail for users concerned for their sugar consumption.
Texture side, The results are very correct without being always perfect. Lhe granites are sometimes thicker than expected. We “eat” them more than you drink, except for milkshakes, which are particularly successful. For them cocktailsthe effect is more visual than taste. The bubbles of carbonated drinks disappear almost systematically, as you would expect. Finally, it is sometimes difficult to find the right temperature to apply, even with the programs. We found some drinks just too liquid, or who took more time to solidify.
Cleaning and maintenance
Only a few rooms stand out for cleaning, which makes maintenance quick and not very restrictive. This is one of the strengths of the machine, Cleaning is truly child’s play. The process is fast, and the passage underwater is enough in most cases, although everything goes to the dishwasher. No element seems fragile or too complex to handle. An asset for a machine designed for frequent use.
Price and availability
The Ninja Slushi is not yet as widespread as Creami, but it is starting to make a place on the merchant sites. Its price is around 349 euroswhich remains reasonable for a device in this category, although you will understand, its use remains anecdotal and completely incidental. It does not replace an ice machine or a high -end blender, but it effectively completes an arsenal of summer kitchenprovided you accept its limits.
