If the folding models of the Chinese brand are renowned for their finesse, their refined design and their performance, it breaks records. Literally. Indeed, while the manufacturer presented it to us as the finest foldable smartphone in the world, we now know that it is especially the most resistant in the world, a record which has been officially allocated to it and which is immortalized in the Guinness Records book.
Honor Magic V5: The smartphone is able to wear 104 kilos
One of the big black dots often underlined on foldable smartphones is their fragility. In order to demonstrate that its models are as elegant as it is robust, Honor has decided to record a new world record with the Guinness Book. The maneuver consisted in testing the solidity of the hinge of the Honor Magic V5. To do this, on August 1, the new foldable of the Chinese manufacturer tried to lift 104 kilos, divided between an 84 -kilo refrigerator and 20 kilos of weighted plates. The operation was carried out using a fabric strap which was attached to the center of the hinge of Magic V5. Result, a successful bet, it is a success: the hinge of the Honor Magic V5 indeed manages to raise this heavy load!
It’s now official, the Honor Magic V5 is the smartphone that holds the heaviest weight record raised by a suspended foldable smartphone. What reassure all users who did not yet dare to turn to this kind of model, for fear that the hinge will not sufficiently resist the many folds it would be forced to undergo. Note that this is not the first time that the brand has put its new smartphone to the test: the Magic V5 has already endured many resistance tests, especially in rain or even extreme temperatures.
Now, it remains to wait for the Honor Magic V5 to come out in Europe. Good news, however: the global launch will take place on August 28 in London. So there are therefore only a few days to wait before being able to discover all the specifics of the foldable smartphone.
