The Huawei Pura 80 leaks a few hours from its launch. Reworked Kirin chip, design close to the iPhone and new AI functions: we now know almost everything about the brand’s next smartphone.
Huawei’s Pura smartphone series had struck hard with its ultra and professional models, launched at the beginning of 2025. On the other hand, more classic variations like Pura 70 had not yet known an official successor. The Chinese manufacturer is preparing to correct this with Pura 80, the launch of which is planned in the next few days. A first image was published, confirming a revised design, but more sober.
The Pura 80de Huawei is not positioned as a high -end smartphone. It keeps a flat selfie sensor flat screen and an interface inspired by Harmonyos 5.1. Its back includes a triangular block similar to that of the ultra, but in smaller. The absence of the 1 inch sensor confirms that the accent is not put here on professional photography. We are far from the Pura 80 Ultra, which has two telephottos in a huge sensor to target photo enthusiasts.

According to a Digital Cat Station leak on the Weibo platform, The Pura 80 would be supplied by a Kirin 9010s chip, an improved version of the processor present in the Pura 70 Ultra. This new version would offer better speeds thanks to a reorganization of hearts: two to 2.5 GHz, six to 2.05 GHz and four to 1.5 GHz. This choice confirms a mid -range orientation, with a good balance between performance and energy efficiency.
Side features, Huawei would highlight a new smart agenda option, capable of automatically organizing time jobs from painting photos. The smartphone would be available in several colors, including a golden copper close to that expected on the iPhone 17 Pro. It would be available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, at a rate similar to PURA 70, or around € 776. The launch of the latter is scheduled for the day on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, but marketing could wait until the end of the month.
