This Monday, the President of the United States Donald Trump welcomed the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, before a meeting with the main European leaders including the President of the French Republic. After the bilateral meeting between the Republican and Moscow Master Vladimir Putin, in Alaska, the difficult conflict resolution was of course at the center of all discussions.
If, as our correspondent for Washington Olivier O’Mahonyry tells, the atmosphere between the two men was relaxed, with a very controlled interview that only lasted 25 minutes, there is no doubt that the card exposed within the oval office will cringe some teeth. No curfew
The republican billionaire, very vague about what he expects from Moscow, said publicly what he wanted from kyiv: to give up the Crimea occupied by Russia since 2014 as well as to adhesion to NATO.
An official on the current of telephone exchanges on Saturday between the American president and European leaders told AFP that Donald Trump also argued a Russian proposal that kyiv would give up the regions of Donetsk and Louhansk (EST), and the front would be frozen in those of Kherson and Zaporijia (South).
On Monday, the fighting continued in Ukraine, with drone and missile shots.
