Panther Lake is the new generation of Intel mobile processor and the first to be based on the 18A process of the company. The coming chip is therefore important for Intel, because it will show how competitive it can be compared to the giant of the TSMC industry and its manufacturing process in 2 nm. Even if the real performance is not yet known, a new leak alludes to the improved IGPU which would offer significantly higher graphic performance, making Panther Lake fleas of solid SOCs for pocket computers intended for the game.
The information is based on an alleged leak of the shipping manifesto spotted by the user X X86 is Dead & Back. The document shows that the Panther Lake chips, or at least some of them, have 12 XE3 graphic cores. By way of comparison, the Lunar Lake chips have eight XE2 cores. The Panther Lake chips therefore have 50 % more hearts and, since XXE3 cores are an improvement compared to XE2 hearts, each heart should be more efficient.
This should result in impressive game performance if they are installed effectively in a pocket computer. In addition, last May, during Computex 2025, Intel demonstrated his panther Lake chips his Panther Lake chips and they made real -time rendering, while performing artificial intelligence applications. This could mean that the IGPU supports the UPSCALING of AI, which is unique at IGPU Panther LAKE for the moment. If a pocket computer was equipped with a Panther Lake chip with a more powerful IGPU and the management of UPSCALING of AI, it would theoretically result in higher game performance, a level higher than what the pocket computers of the current generation offer.
The release of Panther Lake is scheduled for the second half of 2025. Last March, it was reported that laptops Panther Lake laptops were postponed to 2026 because the mass production calendar was pushed back from early September 2025 to half the fourth quarter 2025. However, this period still respects the initial production calendar of Intel, namely 2025.
