An Israeli drone would have targeted the roof of this church on Thursday, causing several victims. The parish priest would have been injured. A hundred Catholics are refugees in the buildings of the parish of the Holy Family, in the heart of the city of Gaza.
An Israeli drone would have pulled a missile Thursday in the middle of the morning, on the roof of the Church of the Holy Family, in Gaza. The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem confirms that there are several wounded, including the parish priest, Father Gabriel Romanelli, who would have been injured in the leg. According to other sources, there are all eight injured. The shot took place while a team of parishioners was mounted on the roof of the church to clean solar panels.
Contacted, the Israeli army has not indicated for the time being if the parishioners had received its authorization before going on the roof. Due to the intensive bombing that has multiplied for several weeks, these panels were completely obstructed by dust, which made them unusable. Wednesday, the parishioners had obtained authorization from the Israeli army to set up for a few moments on a roof to clean other panels, which had enabled them to produce some electricity.
