In a written question filed by Gauthier Corbat, the center challenges the government to learn more about the internal legal proceedings which led to the dismissal of the agent.
“The rapid activation of a heavy disciplinary procedure questioned, especially since the sanction of the dismissal was retained even before the internal investigation did not come to an end and that the agent could fully assert his right to be heard,” writes the parliamentarian addlot, noting that no injury was noted and that no complaint was filed against the agent.
Risk of demobilization
The party thus wonders if the measurement is truly proportioned and if it is not likely to have a demobilizing effect on the entire police body, “already subject to intense pressure in the fight against crime”. The government will formally answer the written question in anticipation of a next parliamentary session.
