A label on the front indicates that it is a prototype intended for Latin America. Although this electronic reader is temporarily known as Kindle Petit Color, the brand of the final product has not yet been confirmed.
This model seems to have a slightly thicker frame than the Kindle Colorsoft (sold at around $ 250 on Amazon), which could mean a more affordable price. Although the prototype is without backlight, the final version should be equipped with this function. The small color screen would produce colors much more saturated than that of the Kindle Colorsoft. In addition, the intensity of the colors can apparently be set through software. Amazon would also have reworked the software to better use the color screen.

The Kindle Petit Color should be launched in the fall of 2025.
