There is a new queen among open roof GTs. This is the Convertible Bentley Batur, the first copy of which came out of the Mulliner customization department and which represents the epilogue of the long career of the W12 engine of the Crewe firm.
A unique model, fruit of a close collaboration between the happy first customer and the team of British craftsmen, presented in preview at La Monterey Car Week after dynamic beginnings at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Race style, luxury clothing
The Bentley Batur Convertible was born as a very limited production model, so much so that the brand plans to manufacture only 16 copies. This sports an opalite livery, an iridescent silver shade, crossed by a brilliant black band encrusted in the body, ended with mandarin nets which accentuate its profile.

The same colors are included on the grille and the five -branch rims, highlighting the sporting tension of design. Under the hood, the iconic W12 of 750 hp offers reference performance, making this Batur the most powerful convertible ever built by Bentley.
An interior one
However, the most distinctive characteristic of bentley is in the passenger compartment. The site presents an unprecedented interpretation of the “One Plus One” configuration, where the spaces reserved for the driver and passengers are deliberately separated by choices of different colors and materials.

On the driver’s side, the cockpit is black Beluga, with a leather and alcantara upholstery and contrasting mandarin stitching. The passenger, on the other hand, travels to a finished linen environment with details in Mandarin. Even the luggage compartment and key cases reproduce this color dualism.
There is no shortage of extra-luxury details, such as satin aluminum inserts, machined titanium components, including gear lever, ventilation mouths and rotary controls, and steering wheel with contrasting béluga/linen stitching.

The first series of series of the Convertible Batur therefore represents the song of the swan of the legendary 12 cylinders W, intended to leave the scene definitively in the near future. The copy exposed to Monterey because Week is not exactly this one, however. This is actually the “Car Zero”, the prototype used for development tests and with a special Vermilion Gloss paint.
