This is another massive marketing blow for Red Bull, the company of energy drinks that made it its specialty. Wednesday evening, a giant fresco covered the wall of the M2 metro station of Lausanne station, under the questioning and sometimes disapproving eyes of certain passengers. Chance of the calendar, ensure the Lausanne public transport (TL), it appeared at the same time as a tribute in painting, too, to the designer Mix & Remix in the station of the same metro at the Bessières station.
The choice of advertisements displayed on this line had already turned upside down in 2020, when the Lausanne municipal council had pressure to ban advertisements for companies that are highly emitting greenhouse gas from TL vehicles and spaces. Rules had then been adopted for buses, also including products for consumer credit, gambling, political or religious, or discriminatory messages, as well as tobacco and alcohol. Metro stations partially escaped it when they set up, said at the time 20 minutes. Today, TLs indicate the same rules for the entire network.
