All about the MacBook Air M4
At the heart of this new MacBook Air, which you can find our full test, we find the brand new M4 chip. Designed by Apple, it promises ultra-fast performance: 4K video editing, application development, and of course, the new features doped at Apple Intelligence with MacOS Sequoia.
The MacBook Air has a Liquid Retina 13.6 or 15.3 inch screen with up to 500 brightness, Touch ID and Magic Keyboard. In terms of connectivity, it benefits from Wi-Fi 6e (some in the editorial will cringe) and Bluetooth 5.3. It also offers Magsafe recharging, two Thunderbolt 4 ports for the connection of accessories such as external storage supports and safety keys, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Compared to the previous generation, the MacBook Air M4 offers a 10 -core CPU and a GPU up to 10 cores and a unified memory of up to 32 GB, making the new MacBook Air up to 2 times faster than the model with M1 chip
. All machines automatically have a SSD de 256 Go and 16 GB of unified memory as standard (against 8 GB previously), allowing more fluid management of gourmet software. It will of course be possible for finances to go upmarket (+1000 euros for the SSD 2 TB and +500 euros to reach the 32 GB of RAM).

In terms of style, Apple finally offers color with this very beautiful blue sky blue (like the iPad Mini 7?). We also find the classics silver, stellar light and midnight. The MacBook Air M4 keeps its ultra-fine and light design while being more robust.
Great novelty for this generation, the MacBook Air M4 now supports up to two 6K external screens (In addition to its integrated screen) – A first for an air model! Side autonomy, Apple announces up to 18 hours of use.
The webcam also leaps forward: The MacBook Air M4 adopts a 12 Mp camera with Center Stage. This technology allows you to keep in the center of the image during video calls, automatically adjusting when you move. A perfect feature for videoconferences and professional presentations.
With MacOS Sequoia, the MacBook Air M4 is obviously compatible with Apple Intelligence. This series of AI tools allows you to automate your tasks, write intelligent texts and obtain instant answers thanks to artificial intelligence capacities directly integrated into the system.
