Google does not often touch the Chrome experience on Android, but the time for the big dusting has come. While most of its flagship applications have already adopted the new Material 3 design, the browser could not decently stay on the bench.
After a first wave of aesthetic changes seen in June, which concerned the groups of tabs and the main menu, Google is attacking this time a piece of choice: the parameter interface. And the result promises to deeply modernize our way of using Chrome.
Welcome harmonization with the rest of Android
This overhaul, identified by the seasoned eye of the analyst @Leopeva64 On X (Twitter), is not a surprise. It is part of a logic of visual consistency with the Android and Material 3 System settings. For users, whether new or accustomed, this is excellent news that aims to make the global experience more intuitive and unified within the Google ecosystem.

Concretely, what changes?
No more clutter, the new interface brings together the parameters in several well identified visual blocks, creating clear and logical separations. There are several main categories: Google and you, basic parameters (with confidentiality and security), passwords and automatic entry, advanced parameters.
Each option within these containers is now delimited by fine lines, which greatly facilitates visual location. The writing font is also a little more discreet, but without it coming to disturb the readability.

This youthful cure of course extends to the submenus, which adopt the same refined aesthetic. However, a small downside remains and unlike the native parameters of Android, Chrome does not display (yet?) Arrows to indicate that an adjustment opens a new page. A detail that may be corrected by the final version.
When will this new interface be available?
These changes would currently be tested in the canary version of Google Chrome, the laboratory where Google is testing its future features. Despite our checks on different devices, we were unable to see this overhaul on the development molds of the browser.
If everything is going well, we can therefore expect a deployment on the advanced versions and then for the general public in a few weeks. A little patience, therefore, before you can take advantage of this refreshing interface.
