Porsche continues to renew the 911 range after its transition to the restyled “992.2” version. The German manufacturer first lifted the veil on the 394 horsepower crossroads and the 541 horsepower GTS, before launching the 510 horsepower GT3 and the 480 horsepower Carrera S.
The brand of Zuffenhausen this time unveils the Carrera 4S, taking up as it should be the motorization of the Carrera S but with two more drive. It adopts like the latter new shields (close to those of the 992.1 Turbo) and the revised lights, as well as the dashboard equipped with an instrumentation handset without the central analog tachometer. The rear seats are available as an optional free on the Carrera 4S coupe but standard on the convertible and the Targa.
480 horsepower, like the old GTS
Like the Carrera S, the Carrera 4S uses an advanced version to 480 horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six. It claims (like the Carrera S also) a 0 to 100 km/h shipped in 3.5 seconds and a maximum speed of 308 km/h, winning 30 horses compared to the old Carrera 4S (and Carrera S).
In fact, it develops exactly the power of the old GTS Carrera which already had this engine. The new 911 GTS is now equipped with a new hybrid version of the Flat-Six with a 3.6-liter displacement, a single turbo and 541 horsepower in maximum power. Ah, it becomes more and more complicated to navigate in the 911 range with all these versions and these changes!

The new 911 Carrera 4S starts at € 166,400 in coupe version€ 180,600 in a convertible version and € 182,400 in Targa version. By way of comparison, the 911 Carrera requests at least € 140,000, the Carrera S € 158,200 and the Carrera GTS € 180,600.
