After death « lors d’un live streaming » On a video platform of a 46 -year -old man, protagonist of controversial videos, the Nice prosecutor’s office announced, Tuesday, August 19, having opened a survey in “Search for causes of death” and ordered an autopsy.
Raphaël Graven, known by the pseudonyms of Jean Pormanove or JP, died on Monday in Tales, a village north of Nice, said the prosecution, confirming information from Nice-Matin. He was known for having participated in videos showing him undergoing violence and humiliations, in particular of two partners known under the pseudonyms of Narutovie and Safine.
The investigations have been entrusted to the Nice judicial police, already seized since December 2024 of an investigation for “voluntary violence in a meeting on vulnerable persons (…) and dissemination of registration of images relating to the commission of violations of voluntary damage to the integrity of the person ”, after an article of Mediapart revealing the existence of these videos, followed by thousands of people, especially on the Australian platform for live broadcast Kick.
“An absolute horror”
A video broadcast live on Monday on Kick, and widely shared since, would show, according to Internet users, the moments preceding the death of Raphaël Graven or the discovery of it, showing it inanimate under a duvet in a bed, in which there are also two men, one of which throws a small bottle of plastic water in its direction.
Clara Chappaz, minister delegate in charge of digital, denounced on X “An absolute horror” and clarified “Entroid the Arcom and carried out a report on Pharos”the online violence combat service. “I also contacted the platform managers to obtain explanations. The responsibility for online platforms on the dissemination of illicit content is not an option: this is the law ”she said.
