The inauguration of the Cruise Pavilion in Sept-Îles is delayed until the end of August, indicates the port of Sept-Îles. The opening of the new infrastructure, located near the Quai Mgr-Blanche, was planned in mid-June.
The Destination Stopover Chef Sept-Îles Nakauinanu, Suzanne Cassista, announced last April to the program Hello coast that the pavilion would be ready before the start of cruises.
The port of Sept-Îles now says that the inauguration will be in the coming weeks. He wants the pavilion to be functional before the end of the 2025 cruise season.
Suzanne Cassista believes that this new pavilion will be beneficial for cruise sites and employees. We will now be in a building that is permanent. We will stop transporting equipment from one place to another and it will be a pavilion that will be able to accommodate cruise passengers 12 months per year
she describes.
Visitors will be able to find, inside the building, craftsmen on site, animation, guides and tourist kiosks.
Cruise passes will be able to find all the information they need when you stop at the port of Sept-Îles.

A second step to come
The port of Sept-Îles provides for a second phase following the opening of the Cruise Pavilion to develop the outside of the establishment. These works will be done jointly with those in the sector Mgr-Blanche.

Cruise boats dock at Pointe-au-Basque quay during quay repairs Mgr-Blanche.
For too long boats, notably the Queen Mary 2, he will rather dock before the Sept-Îles Marina. The Sept-Îles nautical club ensures shuttle transport to the quay of the naval reserve, specifies Ms. Cassista.
From there, cruises will be able to go for a walk on foot and visit Sept-Îles. It will help the population.
It provides that boats will be able to return to the quay Mgr-Blanche for the 2026-2027 cruise season.
