The president of the French memory of Woerth dismissed after a speech against the far right

After a speech denouncing the extreme-right ideas, the French Souvenir Committee of Woerth was “put in standby” by the regional management. Benoît Sigrist, who delivered the speech, is targeted by a complaint from the deputy RN Théo Bernhardt to which the association went so far as to present excuses.

On a platform mounted for the occasion in Morsbronn-les-Bains, in the north of Alsace, Benoît Sigrist embarks on a tirade against “Brown and nauseating ideologies (…) from the far right”in “Incessant research of scapegoats” and which create a context favorable to wars.

In the public, the deputy for the National Rally (RN) of the 8e Bas-Rhin district, Théo Bernhardt, does not appreciate. For him, this speech is a “Insults to the 13 million voters of the national rally”. He awaits the end of the ceremony to confront Benoît Sigrist in person. The next day, the 25 -year -old elected official announced in a video on social networks that he files a complaint for “public defamation”.
