On July 24, around 5 p.m., Marc P. was found unconscious at his home. His vital prognosis is always committed. In the backrest pockets, the minutes collide. And behind them, years of unsaid.
Marc P. is not a stranger for justice. In December 2020, he was sentenced by the Namur Criminal Court for modesty attack attempted rape with violence on a minor. Three years of sexual assault on a child aged 4 to 7, detailed in a judgment: repeated gestures, uncontrolled excitement, attempted penetration. Facts admitted by the author himself. The sanction? A suspended probationary of 5 years, valid until December 2025. With, in theory, strict conditions: no contact with children, therapeutic monitoring, abstention of offenses.
“This July 24, it was his heart of a broken father who spoke”
“Grégory Lenoci is a father who has a heart”explained her lawyer, Me Séverine Meurice, at the exit of the hearing. “He fully assumes his actions. This July 24, it is his heart of a broken, helpless and angry father who spoke, following a discussion with the one who was his victim. There are sentences that were said and who, at one point, have won the heart of a dad. Today, he wants to assume his act and his responsibilities as much as a man as a man.”
A week earlier, Grégory Lenoci had filed a complaint. He explained that his stepson had entrusted him with inappropriate gestures from Marc P. he had specified that he felt on the edge of the explosion. Two days later, he took action.

But in fact, recent testimonies draw up a completely different table: open garage, children invited to play the console, distribution of gifts, persistent rumors. And two new complaints, deposited in a blow.
Prolonged detention for 1 more month
On June 29, a father filed a complaint: his 7 -year -old daughter told her inappropriate gestures. He quotes other children present at the home of Marc P. The child was auditioned on July 2. Then nothing. No other auditions. No closure of the place. No reinforced control.
On July 22, Grégory Lenoci in turn reported serious facts concerning his 6-year-old steps.
In the neighborhood, the 2020 judgment circulates from hand to hand. The father of the first victim, the one for which Marc P. was condemned, custody on his table. Her son was four years old at the time of the first facts. Today, he testifies out loud: “What is the point of condemning if no one controls?”
Like him, several parents evoke deaf anger. An impotence. Loneliness in the face of the lack of reaction. And, since the aggression, a new feeling has emerged: guilt. “I regret not having struck myself. He just did what others did not dare”drops a dad from an alleged victim.
Justice is undergoing its course. This Friday, August 1, the Council Chamber extended the detention of Grégory Lenoci for a month. The man remains prosecuted for attempted assassination. The accused will then return to the council chamber which will determine on preventive detention is extended one more month or not.
