As of August 15, 2025, the Ponts et Chaussées service will proceed for three weekends to the complete repair of the three layers of coating of the chapel roundabout, in Corcelles, about 25 centimeters thick. In order to guarantee the passage of public transport and minimize the impact on traffic, the work will be carried out at night, from 7 p.m. to 5 am.
Lhe construction of the chapel roundabout was produced in 2003, more than 20 years ago. Since then, no repair has been carried out there. Traffic joints passing through this development amounts to some 8,000 vehicles per day, including many heavy goods vehicles, generating important surface deformations. A replacement of the road surface is therefore essential.
En Susps with the essential repair of the roundabout, it is also a question of better integrating the soft mobility with existing arrangements, of creating a semi-free interior ring, in order to reduce traffic speeds, and to increase the safety of all users and users.
Thes Work on the coatings will consist in removing, in stages, the entire existing structure, that is to say about 25 centimeters thick on the entire roundabout and road connections. A new road structure made up of three separate coating layers will be carried out in order to guarantee the longevity of the renovated development.
Dhe ways to allow the maintenance of public transport races and to limit traffic disruptions, this work will have to be carried out at night during three consecutive weekends, from August 15, 2025, from Friday evening to Sunday morning, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, the work will be postponed to the following weekends.
LORS of each of the phases of this work, one or two straps of access to the roundabout must be closed. Deviation routes will be set up for the routes impacted.
