A fire in the arr. Saint-Hubert in Longueuil on July 17 made four injured with firefighters, who were transported to hospital. They were all treated for minor injuries.

Around 9:53 am, around forty firefighters from the Fire Security Service of the Longueuil Agglomeration (SSIAL) were mobilized on rue Gustave-Desourdy, near Boul. Grande-Allée in the Laflèche sector.

“There is nothing that was on our side,” summarizes Daniel Deslauriers, SSIAL.

Intense heat caused two different firefighters a warmth. Then two other firefighters were slightly injured while a beam collapsed.

This considerably complicated their task when the fire was finally under control around 1 p.m.

With collapse, the building is considered a total loss. “It is an old building with a lot of wood. These are difficult buildings to work, ”adds Mr. Deslauriers.

There was no one injured in the residents, who were however taken care of by the Red Cross, when they were not insured.

The collapse also means that the firefighters could not enter the building and determine the cause.
