The Washers Box classic promises to be kidnapping in Saint-Robert

After two editions in downtown Sorel-Tracy, the Washers Box classic moves to the multifunctional center of Saint-Robert, on Saturday August 2. This new version, under a covered roof, promises to be removed with more than 150 teams on site.
“We had 164 teams of two people last year. It is stuck for the same number this year, ”says Simon Raiche, who organizes the tournament with Daniel Bardier, Daniel Turcotte and Gabriel Martineau.
The Saturday classes are as follows: woman (16 teams), mixed (48 teams), local man (48 teams), Open MRC (48 teams) (24 teams). “There is still room in all categories, but there are a lot of places in the local man category, so local guys who want to play in a slightly lower caliber and who will have a chance to win,” explains Mr. Raiche.
In addition, an individual tournament will take place on Friday 1is August, in the evening. There could be 24 or 32 participants, solo, who are among the best Washers players in Quebec.
About $ 10,000 will be put back on the stock market, all of the registration amount. There will also be participation prices.
Three inflatable games will be installed, in addition to a canteen and a bar. There is also a possibility of camping with a trailer on the ground.
There will be continuous music on Friday and Saturday with DJ Pierre Parent. On Saturday evening, the group Kit-4 and Jfsono will vibrate the place with a musical show.
New: around twenty exhibitors will be on site. “We offer them the place for free, it is simply so that people go see them and can learn about their services between the matches,” said Simon Raiche.
