If Google’s news, it is first of all the very next arrival of a new wave of pixel which we already know many elements, the Mountain View giant does not abandon the software component of its already marketed smartphones. Even though a Pixel Drop has been recently deployed, a first wave of updates for Android 16 models arrives. It is part of updates monthly planned by Google.
As usual, the update focuses on the resolution of bugs and improving the stability of Android 16, at work on pixel since their generation 7 (Pixel 7A included), since June 2025. It promises the correction of more specific problems, noted by certain pixel users: the bug affecting automatic activation of the dark theme. The opportunity for us to recall that it is indeed possible to define time slots during which the dark theme replaces the clear theme to better save the smartphone of the smartphone (in Settings> screen and touch controls> Dark theme> Program), or to associate it with a mode of choice (do not disturb, sleep, by car or personalized).
Google also indicates that it has solved problems with three buttons, certainly less and less used, but which retains its followers. The smartphones concerned are as follows: Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7A, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8A, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 9A. As for the Pixel 10, whose presentation is scheduled for August 20, it is assured that they will benefit from a version of Android 16 with resolved bugs, and matches, we hope, some unprecedented software functions.
